Guatemala arrives at Berlin Design Week with the exhibition Guatemala Designs by Hand, a proposal that celebrates the fusion of artisanal tradition and contemporary design. The exhibition invites visitors to discover the country\u2019s cultural and creative richness, combining millenary heritage with innovation and sustainability through a curated selection of studios, artisans, and textile artists.
\nThe experience features a capsule installation inspired by Tikal\u2019s Temple I, \u201cThe Great Jaguar\u201d, reinterpreted in aluminum and wrapped in textiles that integrate traditional techniques with digital tools. The two textile layers \u2014 a collective collage coordinated by the National Movement of Guatemalan Weavers and Weaving Color, created by Nebula Handmade \u2014 reflect a dialogue between tradition, modernity, and community.
\nInside, a sensory installation with sound, imagery, and organic elements immerses visitors, connecting them with Guatemala\u2019s landscapes, textiles, and cultural identity.
